Our Program Chair, Cecilia Paul, is in contact with a potential speaker - Robert Thomson - for our first Italian meeting of the 2019-2020 Program Year in September.   He is the author of a memoir about a year spent studying Italian in Italy, "Florence, Dante and Me (A Canadian Student Tries to Become Italian for a Year)".

Sig. Thomson lives in Victoria, B.C. and asked whether a Dante member would be willing to billet him for the talk, as happened when he spoke to us about "Dante and Opera" in 2009.
