Serena Piccoli speaks about Padova – a special collaboration with Dante Alighieri B.C.! Padova e il suo Maestro : “Giotto”. Da Patavium a Padova, dalla Padova romana all’attuale città veneta, dove spicca – su tutti – il grande Maestro della pittura medievale: Giotto con la sua opera più completa e importante al mondo: La Cappella degli Scrovegni. 

Serena Piccoli Biography:

Serena Piccoli, born in Padova in 1974, is a poet, playwright, translator, and teacher of English and Italian. Having lived in the USA, South Africa, and England, she now works at the Dante Alighieri Society of British Columbia, coordinating Book Clubs and teaching the Advanced Plus and Capolavori d’Italia courses.

Serena Piccoli, nata a Padova nel 1974, è poeta, drammaturga, traduttrice e insegnante di inglese e italiano. Ha vissuto negli USA, Sudafrica e Inghilterra. Ora vive a Padova e lavora per la Dante Alighieri Society of British Columbia per la quale coordina i due book club, e i corsi Advanced Plus e Capolavori d’Italia.

2024-2025 Season

All in-person meetings take place on Wednesday evenings at St.Clement’s Episcopal Church on 1501 32nd Avenue South, Seattle 98144 (unless otherwise specified). Doors open at 6:00pm with presentations at 7:30.

RSVPs are requested for English meetings where dinner is served ($8/person). Italian meetings are preceded by potluck antipasti.

Winter programs (January & February) are held virtually on Zoom. Zoom-room opens at 7:00pm with presentations taking place at 7:30pm. All programs subject to change.
